Modern architecture finds its expression in a minimalist, airy designed building with glass surfaces, discreet swimming pools, Zen gardens, ethnic elements and outdoor verandas, which all combine to blend in absolute harmony with nature. Cedars and pines surround the harmonious coexistence of the two opaque glass cubes, giving the building an air of seventies architecture, a light, contemporary look and a discreet luminosity. Through the innovative use of glass paneling, each room’s balcony functions as an atrium by reducing outside noise. With its rotary opening mechanism, the window panelling for the absorption of natural light contributes to optimum ventilation and protection from outdoor conditions. The communal areas with their open window panelling are an extension of the interior closed spaces and, as such, have been built of the same materials. The furniture, the various small objects and the lighting—for which every detail was considered—are not merely decorative, but constitute to a bridge linking the man-made environment to nature. The lighting is especially sensuous. Warm and cold coexist and act to stimulate your imagination. Works by contemporary Greek artists grace every corner of the hotel. All the rooms are furnished with original permanent fixtures and designer-name furniture and objects, while the lighting is left totally up the guest, enabling him to create the mood he desires. Each room is designed inside a single space. The beds are placed in the centre, facing the large opening with a view to the balcony-atrium and to the natural environment outdoors.
